Triumph har også lyst til å leke litt utenfor asfalten og har lansert en modell i tillegg til den som er beregnet for å være på veien.

Offroaderen Tiger 800 XC skal konkurrere mot BMW sin BMW F800 GS og om man ser litt nærmere etter på spesifikasjonene er det ikke så mye som skille de to merkene og mange mener at de to ligner altfor mye på hverandre.

Den vanlige utgaven av Tiger 800 gir god konkurranse til de som allerede finnes i dette segmentet.

Begge syklene har langslaget versjon av Daytona-trippelen på 799 kubikk som gir en ytelse på 94 Hk og 79 Nm, samt bygget på den samme stålrammen.
